The resulting drop down is such a mess! You have all the layer underneath showing thru

Also the info on hover seems to be work just about everywhere.
So wherever you put you mouse, they pop up and disturb the viewing....

Really nice feature if only it would popup when you hover the thread title only

We are aware of the problem, and it should be rectified soon.

the popup is a function of the browser you are using, and has nothing to do with the forum upgrade

isn't it normalized to some max size? i think i haven't seen anybody with a huge avatar, usually it takes approx 50% of the available width

join date is rather fixed in size and can be put next to the avatar, locations probably too if <br>ed or ellipsised - if not, well...
beans can sit next to the coffee icons, i assume these things are related, as in icon=f(beans)?

besides is all that fluff info worth scrolling 3x more than necessary 24/7/365? After all you can click the profile and look at personal info to your heart's content.
with above reply I want to add screenshot ubuntu1.jpg and see just to write a few words how much space is being used.

If people want to rearrange the box with user info and the posted text, saving vertical space:

Don't use this space for a list of your hardware. It only creates false hits in the search engines.

I like everything I've seen so far!

Just one little thing: why are there commas after many of the titles on the main page? I suspect they're not supposed to be there.

I have attached a screen-shot showing suggestions where you can reduce (not eliminate) vertical white space in ten different places.

Strangely, they are, because it's a list. The last one in each section doesn't have a comma. If we didn't have the three column display it would make more sense but I agree it's irritating and we're working on it. The plugin that gives us the 3-column display is meant to allow us to switch off the commas, but it's not doing so.
