I don't see this listed so here goes ... A tooltip showing the contents of the first post in a thread appears when the mouse cursor is over the title of the thread on the "Search Results" page. I find it very useful in deciding whether to visit a thread or not.

I don't know if it by design or not, but the tooltip appears even when the mouse cursor is not over the title but elsewhere on the same line (shown enclosed in red in the image). I see this behavior using Chrome, Firefox or Opera.

In contrast, here's a link to another forum, also using vBulletin, that limits the appearance of the tooltip to when the mouse cursor is precisely over the title. (I can't tell which version of vBulletin is being used in this case.)

It appears to be a vBulletin 4 feature. I see the same behaviour with another forum that's running the same version as us, and I found this discussion about this behaviour in vB4:

I can't make out which precise point release they're using, but it appears to be one of the vBulletin 3 series. We were running on 3.8.7 before the upgrade, if I remember correctly.

If you write a guide (as an example) offline in a word processor
I often do
I write in code tags
Do the formatting of fonts etc

Previously you could copy this in to the forum, with some minor adjustment

But not now. It gets well mucked up

What specifically gets mucked up? I can do so with just one problem: multiple spaces between [code] and [/code] are lost.

Did you try the "Paste from Word" button? Paste from Word.png Albeit that I didn't find any difference between using it and not.

I've had code in one set of tags being place in two separate tags
Eg:

sudo apt-get update

 &&upgrade

(I'm manufacturing this example
