Had the same issue with the recent kernel upgrade from 3.5.0-17 to 3.5.0-25. It's an Ubuntu/installation bug.

To fix, here is what I did (while on a wired connection):

    sudo apt-get remove linux-headers-3.5.0-25 bcmwl-kernel-source
    sudo apt-get install bcmwl-kernel-source

Wireless connection was established instantly after the bcmwl-kernel-source installed. bcmwl-kernel-source was reporting that dkms could not find the kernel source, even though linux-header-3.5.0-25 was installed.

Just needed a reinstall of the linux-headers. I have the same wireless card (bcm4313) using the proprietary Broadcom driver.
