    What am I doing wrong?

So I got a older computer today, and I decided I would try some OS out on on. I downloaded elementary on chrome and wrote it on to a disk using infra recorder, then I booted on my old computer, it loaded and came to this grayish screen and didn't do anything, no setup, no loading, no nothing.

So I thought maybe it was something todo with elemetary so I tried pear, it did the same thing.

Lubuntu and the LXDE Fedora spin are worth a look, or any of the LXDE-based distros. Or there's Bodhi if you want an arty desktop.

It's difficult to say what a "good" light OS is. Depends on your requirements and taste. What didn't you like about Puppy Linux?

Peppermint and #! are pretty light weight. But as already said, depends what you're looking for.

Puppy linux wasnt "Modern" enough. I like ubuntu because it compact and it looks nothing like windows.

Im installing bodhi as i type and i love the way it looks!

Lubuntu has everything going for it, and I've seen it run on a system that wouldn't take any other distro. You should try that before any other.
