    Is BURG bootloader any good?

I have several other people in my household who use this and another computer I have and they get scared when they see command line type text. I've been trying to figure out how to make GRUB2 more graphical, but am failing miserably and saw BURG. Does anyone have any experience with it and liked it?

Thumbs up Re: Is BURG bootloader any good?

I have used it since installing 12.04 LTS with no problems. Plus the size of the letters are easier to see.

I used it several years ago. Was cool, but didn't really need it, so got rid of it.

It does not look like burg has been updated since 2010.

You can adjust fonts and background if you want.

    +1

Works fine with BIOS booting, but does not work with UEFI.

Might not be worth the trouble if you intend to move to a UEFI system any time soon.
