    Re: Huge Linux Steam Sale

Well I already own CS:S, so my first in-Linux Steam purchase was Half-Life!

    Woohoo!

Looking forward to the rest of Valve's game stable being ported...

EDIT: as this isn't a support question, shouldn't it be in the Cafe?

Gaming stuff goes in the gaming area.

Ah ok, I misunderstood the categorisation of threads - I thought the only possible location for non-support questions was the cafe.

Nice to be wrong about that though!

Dungeons of Dredmore is good too! (rpg). Trine is another good game that is not a shooter!@
i'll narrow it down and purchase one sometime next week. Thanks for suggestions.

    Re: Huge Linux Steam Sale

Well, after grimacing that Crusader Kings 2's price had been slashed, I took advantage and bought the DLC packs cheap. I'm hungry for games that I didn't already buy from the Humble Bundles, and Unity of Command, Waveform and Crusader Kings 2 fit the bill. Unity of Command, BTW, is a MUST for turn-based strategy gamers.

It's fun playing Half-Life all over again, and noticing that my shooter reflexes have...deteriorated over the past decade or so.

But, as I said, what I really want is Humble Bundle-quality games that haven't already been released on the HBs. We are running on Steam time, but things are certainly looking up. Now that Counter-Strike Source has been released, can the Orange Box be far behind?

Orange Box, that's the name of the Valve collection I bought a while ago I think. It's nice to play CS:S natively, and would be awesome to have Portal some time near future too.

As far as new games I bought The Journey Down; Chapter One, which looks promising, and Red Orchestra; Ostfront 41-45, which I haven't tested much yet.

    Good stuff.

I bought Bastion and Penumbra because of the sale. I love both of them! Bastion has such a lovely soundtrack, and plays great. Penumbra scares the helping out of me, but it is very addictive! I was looking for games my current PC could handle, and could only find those too.

I would recommend Bastion if anyone hasn't tried it yet. It is only 3$ too!
