Nikon S2500 extreme slowness reading photo metadata

Hi at all,
sorry for my bad english, I'm italian;
Ubuntu is extremely slow in reading photo metadata, so I can't save photos to my desktop.
It seems to be a bug of exiv2 package (my exiv2 version is 0.22-2, running on ubuntu 12.04)
What can I do?

It seems to be a bug of exiv2 package (my exiv2 version is 0.22-2, running on ubuntu 12.04)

Run this in terminal:

ubuntu-bug exiv2

Fill in the bug report as best you can.

I would also recommend you try a livecd of 13.04 if you get a chance and see if the problem still exists.
