installing persian fonts in ubuntu 11.10

Hi
When I open powerpoints written in persian, I can not see the sentences. I think its due to not installing persian fonts. Would you please help me how can I install other language fonts in version 11.10 and is there a shortcut for changing languages in ubuntu?

and look at the menu Applications:

System Tools -> System Settings -> Language Support

I did what you said for installing persian language, However still I have problem with persian powerpoints and ubuntu does not understand this language fonts.

if the power point comes from Microsoft power point its normal to have issue with Persian while you open it by libreoffice or openoffice .
there's also some packages in software center for installing Persian fonts. try searching" persian " or " farsi " in there.
