Ubuntu One deleted all my tomboy notes?

All my Tomboy notes (local and on the cloud) are gone this morning.

And now, every time I sync my notes, it would just delete them.

And I cannot get to https://one.ubuntu.com/notes/

Damn! it is irresponsible to delete all the notes directly without making any notification.

OMG - I was shocked - all my notes for my thesis were gone!

Luckily Tomboy made a Backup. In ~/.local/share/tomboy/Backup there were some files containing recent content.

tomboy deleted all my notes after last synchronisation. Something to do with ubuntu one dropping support. I'm mad as hell, somebody should have told us, my last backup was a month ago, I've just lost a pile of information.

Damn, I lost very valuable information!

This is a total lack of responsibility and respect to your own work.

    Shame on you Ubuntu One.

Is there a way to download my notes? Every time google discontinue a service the data is available for download.

If Canonical deleted our data this would be irresponsible, and it means we cannot trust its cloud service anymore.

I was aware that it would not sink my notes anymore, but I didn't expected that the notes would be deleted.

What do we do now, for getting the notes sync'ed? I really like Tomboy, and are reliant on Tomdroid on my phone.
Are tomboy going to support the newer U1 API?

See the Ubuntu One blog for Canonical's apology and suggested solutions.

For a company the size of Canonical, there is simply no excuse for this. My bedrock trust placed in the Ubuntu One service has been shattered, and I doubt it will ever come back. Since I no longer see Ubuntu One as a trustworthy remote backup service, I will be looking for a replacement today.
