    Gmail webapp not displaying correctly

    Still trying to wrap my head around everything but;

    The Gmail Webapp for firefox doesn't seem to be working as intended. I got the prompt to install the webapp -- which I did. The envelope icon appeared where it should have, but then the problem arises. The Gmail launcher icon nor the envelope notify me when I have new emails. The only time they do is when I'm already in Gmail in Firefox, which I assume isn't how the Webapp was intended to function, as that seems a little pointless.

    I've tried googling the issue, and I've seen others with it, but that was months ago, and still I didn't find a solution to the problem.

    Figured it out! I needed to install support for webapps for Chromium.

    I was confused because Firefox gets it out of the box and Chromium doesn't.

    That is correct. You need to install unity-chromium-extension. From the command line enter the following...

    Code:
    $ sudo apt-get install unity-chromium-extension

    Re: Issue with WebApps

    I've restarted my computer and tried messing around with a few things to no avail. Although it's not completely OS breaking, it's a feature that I would like to get use out of, since it's there.

    Anyone have advice on a workaround?
