    Can I install this driver(.tar.gz)?How?

The website says linux driver for kernel up to 3.2.x but I don't know where to find that kernel version.

I am downloading a driver for my wireless card rtl8192se and I am using ubuntu 12.10

I tried unzip the file and "make install" there is some error message.

Those instructions won't work on 12.10 as it uses a later kernel (3.5.0).

However, the driver now comes already built into the kernel so you shouldn't need to do anything.

Actually the version of driver installed on my ubuntu is for rtl8191se, they look similar but I don't know whether they are interchangeable. I am facing some problems regarding wireless right now, so I want to try installing the driver.

    This is my problem. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2108898

I have been looking for a solution for 2 whole days....
