Keyboard inserts < into any field after not being used for some time

    Hi,
for some weird reason, when I don't use the computer for, say, about 5 minutes, and then I click on any kind of a text field/input, the system will automatically put a < character in there, which is quite annoying as you can probably tell. I have a rather clean installation, with the addition of only Audacious, Kate, Wine and some Nvidia drivers. Any ideas why this happens?

Is your computer a laptop or a desktop? Which make and model is the keyboard if on a desktop, or the laptop?

It is a desktop, with a Logitech MK 250 keyboard. Just noticed this happens on Win 7 (it's my second system on this machine) as well. Now I'm totally confused, how could that be? A hardware error?
