Question Wireless Always Off At Startup On Asus X501A

I installed Ubuntu 12.10 on my wife's Asus X501A the other day to see it in all its widescreen, 64-bit glory and as of the most recent system update, the wireless is always turned-off when I startup in the morning. It's not a permanent break, as I can simply go into settings and change it to "On" but why should this even happen in the first place.

    Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Maybe you can mention what is in your /etc/networking/interfaces file regarding wlan0? (Or whatever represents your wifi interface)
