K3b is very popular...Brasero has been working just fine for me, though.

Brasero runs fine for me. As soon as I place a new DVD/CD in my drive Brasero pops up right away.

    Here's the links to k3b

    http://www.kde.org/applications/multimedia/k3b/

I use Xfburn in Fedora but my Desktop is XFCE not Gnome-

    Happy Burning!

What problems are you having with Brasero? A description like 'Brasero is terrible' says nothing and gives no information. 'Alternatives to Brasero?' or describing the problem you're having with it would be more useful and get you more suggestions.

    Hello,

Yes, Brasero runs fine for me too. What problems are you having with it?

There is GnomeBaker Burning Tool, Nero (trial version, or you can buy it), ImgBurn (through wine), and SimpleBurn.

I only need a burner for ISO Distro burns.
Have only used Brasero and had absolutely no problems with about a dozen jobs.

Worked faultlessly for me since 7.04 (ignoring user error!) ...

    Re: Brasero is terrible....

Brasero can be problematical for some and from experience it often relates to the brand and model of burner.

In such instances I have installed and used xfburn and it performs faultlessly.

    Give it a try.

    Re: Brasero is terrible....

Brasero had some known bugs (crashing, sometimes slow), but they are probably fixed by now. But I second the choice of K3b. Top notch, and has never failed me.

I've been using Brasero fine for ages; but recently I'm having unknown errors, can't fixate disk, A write error occured etc etc

    It's driving me mad!
