HI!
I am just wondering (before installing new Ubuntu 12.10) if developers added dodge windows and minimize on click for launcher??
Has anyone tried that already?

There isnt option forn minimize on click
Also the ppa that worked on 12.04 doesnt work anymore
The 'Unity Revamped' PPA which does both minimise-on-click and dodge windows works well for 12.04, but not yet for 12.10.
From my own point of view, there's nothing new in 12.10 that wasn't in 12.04, aside of a few minor asthetic changes.
Best to stick with 12.04 until 12.10 bugs have been ironed out.
Windows free since '09 - never looked back!
Yes I am using that Unity Revamped PPA an it is working perfectly...
I really don't get why Canonical does not implement those functionalities in Ubuntu.
OK then. I'll just have to wait a couple more weeks to get what I want and then i'll upgrade =).
Thanks!
That, my friend, was one of the most hotly contested issues that came along with 12.04. It was part of Ubuntu until the latter part of the 12.04 development stage when Canonical (in their wisdom) decided to do away with it because it was confusing to new users.
Hence, Unity-Revamped was born.
I doubt Canonical will back-track on their decision, but thanks to the Unity-Revamped dev, we can still have dodge and minimise on click.

Well, Canonical should listen to their "old" users too =).
I'll just wait for Unity Revamped for Ubuntu 12.10...
But i couldnt wait and i installed Ubuntu 12.10
Now i dont have minimize on click .. I sent pm to the developper asking him if he attends to update the ppa on 12.10..
Still waiting for his responce.. Hope he will fix it
Cannonical should import this future .. it is very usefull !!
Totally agree with you. I mean. Dodge windows and minimize on click are really useful functions and not like some things ... as shopping lenses ... that canonical is forcing. They could also make these two functions optinal. By default they would be disabled, so they won't confuse new Ubuntu users, but one could easily enable them in settings...
I hope unity revamped will get an update =)
