    how can i create my own antifatigue/cushioned mat when using standing desk

    Hello everyone.
    i have a standing desk. I really enjoy being able to work in a standing position. Less strain on back and posterior. But standing up has its own pains. For me, it's mostly in feet, ankles and calves. It's worse if I'm barefoot. So I have some shoes on when standing up.

    I'm exploring getting what I see cashiers use: a thick, rubber, squishy anti-fatigue mat. Is there a way we could create my own? If there are any handymen/Do-it-yourselfers out here who have some creative ideas, let me know.

    Just buy a camping mat, the sort that goes under a sleeping bag, and cut it into suitable pieces. Then you can experiment with one, two or three layers to see what is most comfy.
    They are usually closed cell foam, that means it will be washable.

    Coldraven, thanks for suggesting a camping mat. Will check that out. Good to know it's washable. My feet may make them dirty and stinky after some time.
