    HP Laptop, hardware panel

    Hi

My nephew have a HP 6530b laptop with Xubuntu 12.10 installed

But today he came to me with a problem with his wireless network, in the Network manager the wireless interface was marked as being hardware disabled and trying to press the network button on the computer didn't solve the problem

I listed the hardware with rfkill, and it said: Hardware disabled: Yes

Then I noticed that no buttons in the hardware panel seems to function, and their is no background light i the buttons either.

If the panel is dead, is there anyway to enable the wireless again?

Did you look at the BIOS settings?
