Youtube videos in Chrome have spots

Sometime over this weekend--I think after an update--I started noticing that videos on Youtube in Chrome have spots on them, and that's with both Flash videos and HTML5 videos. This doesn't happen on other video websites, or even in Firefox.

Has anyone else encountered this? I've tried turning off hardware acceleration (before I realized that it was happening in HTML5 videos too), but it didn't help.

I've included some screenshots of what I'm seeing.

Users can easily damage their systems by using sudo su if they aren't experienced enough.

I am having the same yellow spots. Started only in March 2013.
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on a DesktopPC.

    Does not effect Firefox.
I have written to Google Chrome about this, but I don't think they will have time to reply individual queries. Something in their chrome upgrade has not gone well.
