    Whats a good video editing program for ubuntu?

    Im looking for a free program similar to After effects for ubuntu.
    Can anyone point me to a good one?

While not dedicated to compositing, the open source software Blender contains a limited node-based compositing feature capable of basic keying and blurring effects, among other things

    The most popular is probably Open Shot:Link The Latest version has a few blender effects incorporated.

    If you're looking for something more advanced I would suggest looking at Cinelerra and Ramen These two are more in line with Adobe's After Effects.
