I played with Fuduntu back when it was still based on Fedora 14, before it forked from Fedora. And I loved running it. It was, back then, pretty much the Linux Mint of Fedora, with a lot of apps and all non-free codecs (if I remember correctly) pre-installed. And I like Fuduntu's Mac OS X style interface too, which it still has to this day.
All in all, it was a neat distro to play with back then. Since it forked from Fedora, I haven't played with it. However, I may give it a try again just to play with a Fedora-style distro that still runs GNOME 2.x
Don't like Unity? Hate it? Not your cup of coffee? Ubuntu does provide choices. There's GNOME Shell, KDE Plasma, Xfce, LXDE, and now MATE and Cinnamon. Take your pick
