Installing Ubuntu One on Lubuntu 12.10

I have tried to install Ubuntu One on my new Lubuntu 12.10 system, but I have as of yet been unable to get the control panel / setup wizard to appear in the Lubuntu system menu.

My Lubuntu 12.10 system is installed on an Asus Eee PC Seashell 1015BX.

This has bitten me also.

Hey guys, anybody have a solution?

Or is this truly a bug?

How did you install Ubuntu One? It is in the Lubuntu 12.10 repositories. I do not use it (Drop Box is on my machine). There is a FAQ here:

Thanks, but those instructions are for unity, and lubuntu does not have unity. There is supposed to be an option in the menu tree under preferences, but not for me.

Like I said, I do not use Ubuntu One, but wouldn't it be under Internet on your menu?

I got it to work by checking the software center. It seems that synaptic did not install what I thought I asked it to. When I checked the software center, the control panel-qt for ubuntu one was not installed. When I installed that, it started to work.

And the option is under Preferences. Go figure.
