Rhythmbox doesn't recognize Vorbis Encoder

I just installed 12.10. Rhythmbox won't rip a CD. It says Python requires Vorbis Encoder. I believe I downloaded it, and there were several vorbis files when I searched my hard drive. Nothing significant appears to be showing in Ubuntu Software Center. I'm going to say I indeed did. Still, Rhythmbox doesn't appear to recognize it and continues to give an error message.

Python (v2.7) requires to install plugins to create media files of the following type: Vorbis encoder"

Could I just change preferred format to FLAC, or one of the others? I'm trying to rip a CD.

Appears to be working! Strangely it's not showing progress or giving me any indication that it's working but it is currently extracting the songs. Thanks for your help.

Good to hear there is some progress . I admit that I am not really a Rhythmbox user, my own ripping needs are catered for by abcde which perhaps you might look at one day.
