I get the following authentication request every couple of minutes, even without doing anything:

Action: org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.settings.modify.sys tem
Vendor: NetworkManager

They link to http://www.gnome.org/projects/NetworkManager

Whether I give the password or press Cancel, it attempts to connect to a neighbour's wifi network, asking for its password (which I don't know). It does this even when I'm connected to another network.

It's currently just a bit annoying, not that big a deal, but I'm wondering if it's connected to the problem mentioned in my previous post (which was never answered).

In summary: My office wifi network does not show up any more on this computer, either when running Windows 7 or Lubuntu. All other office computers connect fine, and this one works with an ethernet cable, so it doesn't seem to be a general network/router problem. And my neighbour's network shows up so it doesn't seem to be a general wifi problem on this computer. And it worked previously so I guess it's not some kind of hardware incompatibility.

I think the problem started after setting up a connection through a phone, using this method:

Any help would be appreciated.
