L2TP/ipsec VPN with LDAP Auth

Ahoy hoy.

Attempting to get my work vpn working on my linux laptop, I started with l2tp-ipsec-vpn but found out soon after that there isn't a listing for Kerberos/OpenDirectory

I've had a quick look around and the majority of the posts are 3 years old +, I was just wondering if there was a better application to handle this or a certain way to get around this without looking at solutions used 3 years ago?
