Ubuntu on Kindle Touch?

I have read that it is possible to install Ubuntu on the Kindle Touch (link in notes). I am willing to do such, however I need instructions! If anybody could provide instructions, that would be great.

Quick question - after installing Ubuntu, will I get an on-screen keyboard whenever I may need to type? Also, how is the battery life?

That thread appears to be asking how the Touch works with Ubuntu, not that Ubuntu can be installed on the Touch.

Ok. Is it not possible for Ubuntu to run as the Kindle's primary OS? Kindle OS is Linux itself.
