Guys,
A couple of days ago, I've added gnome3-staging PPA on my trusty, and so I've experienced a weird thing "Vanishing mouse pointer" on Gnome-Flashback session..
[Machine]
Dell Vostro A90 (famous as Mini9 or Inspiron910)
[GPU]
Mesa DRI Intel(R) 945GME x86/MMX/SSE2 (showed in glxinfo)
[Base System]
Trusty daily build states 'up-to-date' just now
[PPA]
ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3-staging
[Details in case]
Once logging into Gnome session (means gnome-shell), I've confirmed that the mouse pointer shows and cntrols normally, but then I go back to GDM, logging into Gnome-Flashback (with metacity) again, I've missed mouse pointer at all...
You know this machine have not any touch-screen device already.
Even though it works pretty good as pointing device only without seeing!! haha.. was it a Joke in 13th Friday!?
Anyway we could solve this weird issue with gsettings:
Code:
gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.cursor active false
Yep I suppose gnome-setting-daemon 3.11.2-0ubuntu1~trusty1 might have some issue with this case, but I haven't track this down yet though...
If someone had similar situations, hope this help you guys.
Best Regards,
Tista
