Ubuntu Development Version Testing Blog Remarks
Running 16.04 on Mobo: MSI model: B85-G41 PC Mate(MS-7850) v: 1.0
I had noticed that trusty had not upgraded nvidia so i went in and changed my sources list discovered that xedgers was on trusty
so I changed that to "devel" and got updates! And also got nvidia-settings back +1.
Still have to change some css sheets because they get overwritten?
And to change the wallpapers I have to restart my session<Alt+F2> <r> then hit enter.
Cairo-Dock will lockup at times but hey this testing..
And of course Extras still not populated yet. All is good though.
If someone would be kind enough to list there source list I would be greatfull
Ricotz had suggested enabling with testing a saucy entry, also but I get errors something like expecting "devel" but got "trusty"
A couple of days ago, I've added gnome3-staging PPA on my trusty, and so I've experienced a weird thing "Vanishing mouse pointer" on Gnome-Flashback session..
Dell Vostro A90 (famous as Mini9 or Inspiron910)
Mesa DRI Intel(R) 945GME x86/MMX/SSE2 (showed in glxinfo)
Trusty daily build states 'up-to-date' just now
[Details in case]
Once logging into Gnome session (means gnome-shell), I've confirmed that the mouse pointer shows and cntrols normally, but then I go back to GDM, logging into Gnome-Flashback (with metacity) again, I've missed mouse pointer at all...
You know this machine have not any touch-screen device already.
Even though it works pretty good as pointing device only without seeing!! haha.. was it a Joke in 13th Friday!?
Anyway we could solve this weird issue with gsettings:
Yep I suppose gnome-setting-daemon 3.11.2-0ubuntu1~trusty1 might have some issue with this case, but I haven't track this down yet though...Code:gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.cursor active false
If someone had similar situations, hope this help you guys.
or more general -
There's a new xserver (core) in -proposed that I'm using though haven't checked to see if it's any better (haven't had a missing cursor of late
Thanks for info!
And I've chekced out the xserver version:
ii xserver-xorg-core 2:1.14.5-1ubuntu1
If so, we already had that patched xserver core. grrrr
Where can i find a link to gnome3-team information dispersal. They apparently just put gnome 3.10 in the http://ppa.launchpad.net/gnome3-team/gnome3/ubuntu saucy repo and I have 309 updates from them. I didn't know they were going to move 13.10 to gnome 3.10. Thnx
