    Installing Schooltool on ubuntu server

    Hi,

I've just found a great school management software named Schooltool, which is developed by Canonical. I've also found this software on the Ubuntu 12.04 (Desktop) software center. But I don't understand how can I install this software on Ubuntu 12.04 Server? I'm really interested to use this software.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply. I've visited this page before but I don't understand these lines:

If all goes well, many, many small Zope components will be installed and you’ll have a SchoolTool server running on http://localhost:7080 or http://127.0.0.1:7080. The server may take a minute or two to actually start up.

I don't understand the procedure, if I install on desktop how it can be configured on Ubuntu server?

You do not install anything on desktops.

The 'desktop' containing schooltool acts as a 'server'. Other computers which don't have schooltool, point their browser to server:7080 to access schooltool.

    Looks pretty neat though....

Thanks for your reply. It's fully clear to me now.
