For those of you interested in turn based WW2 strategy in the vein of the old Panzer General series, this might be of interest.

Unity of Command is pretty much a modern successor to the old "Five star" strategy games. It's very slick, quick to play, and hard as nails.

At 20 bucks, its kinda steep for a fairly short game (9 axis scenarios, 7 soviet ones) but it has plenty of challenge, and if you like this sort of thing, its absolutely worth it. You can play any of the scenarios in two player too, which helps value.
There is a short demo, but it crashed a lot for me. Strange, as the full game has been rock solid for me. Running the demo in wine worked okay though.

The red tide expansion is 10 bucks and is a 17 level mega-campaign for the soviets, stretching from Kursk to Berlin (as far as I can tell).

I'm not trying to shill for these guys, honest, but this is the type of game that I'd love to see more of.

It's on Steam too
