    Question how can i scan thru they network? i got lexmark 203n

    i have had this question long time ago and nobody could answer it.
    how do u scan thru the nextwork with this type of scanner or All in one devices.

    much the same way you would print, connect to it and scan

    i have add the printer with no challenge.
    it works fine, but simple scanner does nt recognize the scanner over the network

    mm well i am not familiar with simple scanner, i use xsane when i scan, i have an all in one device, i added it as a printer (epson and is supported) and I just turn it on and open xsane and it connects to it.

    So cant be of much more help im afraid, I am unfamiliar with your device

    Some devices do require a network scan driver

    does ur AIO has networking capabilities? or do u have it directly via USB?

    network, Epson workforce 840, connected via wireless

    Edit: there is a link here http://superuser.com/questions/13841...k-on-os-x-10-6 which talks of a different printer but still lexmark where the fix was to login to the print webserver
