Thread: Failed to retrieve video information.

  1. #1

    Failed to retrieve video information.

On nicovideo.jp message appears as below:
    Failed to retrieve video information.
Please wait before refreshing the page.
Clear your browse cache to delete the failed video data.
There may be a cookie restriction. Please change settings to allow nicovideo.jp
AFAIK everything is clear and allowed, but video still doesn't appear.
It worked before on chromium. Now it's not working on other browsers, so it is probably some mess in Adobe Flash settings (while everything is allowed).
    What else could I do?

    Conditions:
    - Ubuntu 11.10 / 64bit AMD
    - Chromium 18.0.1025.168 (Build 134367 Linux)
    - Flash 11.2.202.258

Maybe delete ~/.adobe or move it somewhere else since it might contain important data (settings).

There is no improvement after your suggestion.

I think the best solution we will find if someone leaves here links to screen shots of all Adobe Flash Player settings related with working nicovideo.jp from this website:

I don't think that there are Flash Player settings you are after.

You should combine different browser with different Flash Player settings.

All webpages are made to work under the default Flash Player settings, otherwise webmasters miss out on many visitors.

Does Flash work properly on other sites?

I see that only one certain vid is not working on Chromium (but I could see it yesterday), instead just black screen is visible even when minute-bar is running (everything is OK on other uploads).

On other browsers (Firefox, Midori) the screen is not even visible (there is just a white space instead):
