    Extract LTO5

    I am trying to extract media from an LTO5 tape. I keep getting i/o errors. I have tried several times but still keep getting i/o errors. I thought it could be the LTO drive but the darn thing archives perfectly. The funny thing is I have extracted media before with no problem. Not sure what the problem can be. I have also tried extracting other LTO backups, some work and some just give me i/o errors.
    Any help would be appreciated.
