    Wink linux config.help

    Hello,

I'm real new to linux. Wireshark is telling me to enable "packet-socket" and to check my linux "config.help" file. Im using Ubantu 12.4 and I cant find it anywhere. Could someone please give me a hint where it's hiding.

Why are you even using Wireshark?

    Red face Re: linux config.help

because I didn't know how dumb it was to always work as an administrator and now my internet is always bogged down with data transfers coming out my computer when I'm not doing anything and I want to know where it's going.

First thing I would do is check your log files as they usually have great info as to what the machine is doing. something else you can do is enable firewall and logging and check this log for info. Check auth.log for logins/attempts
