I would really love to get the Ubuntu SOftware Center working in Linux Mint 14 w/ Mate because I want to install the paid game RC Mini Racer, it's $4.99. Ubuntu software center doesn't want to run within Linux Mint, can anyone help me please?

There's a thread here regarding a work around but it's not working. ANy thoughts?
