Desktop recognized as laptop
Ubuntu 12.04 thinks my desktop computer is a laptop computer, and won't allow correct rotation of my Samsung display. I have tried changing drivers, and nearly lost everything.
How does Ubuntu know if the computer is a desktop or a laptop? I also run Debian 6.0.6 with no problems. Any help would be appreciated.
Re: Desktop recognized as laptop
I don't think the laptop thing and the rotation problem are related. Why do you think they are? Can you elaborate on the problem a bit more. What on earth do you mean by "won't allow correct rotation"?
