12.10 won't boot without having a cd/dvd in the tray
I'm a Linux newb and could use some help. I tried searching for my issue but couldn't find it on the board.
I put together a new machine which is using a MSI A55M-P33 (uefi bios) board with an AMD a6-3650. I'm using a Samsung SSD for the OS.
When I boot it boots to the purple screen then goes blank and then back to the purple screen and freezes. If I put a Cd/dvd in the tray (it can be anything, I even tried a cd with only mp3 files on it) it will boot fine and the OS works fine.
I tried putting the SSD last in the boot order but it didn't make a difference.
Any ideas how I can boot without having to have a cd/dvd in the tray?

Fixed. Loaded boot repair and ran it. I now get the grub screen and everything works OK!
