Black Screen After Selecting Ubuntu on GRUB

I just installed Ubuntu 12.10 today. After I installed it it worked fine. I even restarted my computer, went to Windows 7, then came back and it still worked. Now when I select Ubuntu on GRUB my monitor gets no output, it's just black. My HDD light seems to do nothing too, or it just blinks at a steady rate.

Is there something I can do in GRUB to fix this?

can you press ctrl-alt-F1 and see if you get any terminal client there? It should say something like "Ubuntu 12.10 <computer-name> tty1".
