I actually like this wallpaper. It seems that a lot of people don't but as elfy said on IRC yesterday, if you don't like it, you have about 6 months to make a new one.

It’s a nice default wallpaper.

You will keep being disappointed if you’re expecting it to become green or something…

Well people used to complain about the "crap" brown designs of wallpapers in earlier editions of Ubuntu, and now this. =P Can't please everybody it seems! An abstract splash of purple is a welcoming change at least, it goes really well with orange, IMO.

Although I did love Hardy Heron's wallpapers, [linky] so stylistic and rough. ^^

For a default wallpaper it looks alright to me. I like it better than the last one. I much prefer the purple and orange to the brown wallpapers Ubuntu used to have.
