    12.10/64-bit - using xtrace

I've been trying to work on something for another poster in the forum and as such finally got to where I found about the program xtrace to see the "conversations" between the x server and the x client. Unfortunately, even after reading the man page, I can't get this to run in a way where I get any data. I've tried using the -o option and specifying a file name, yet that file is always empty.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Aha, according to the xtrace page in debian, xtrace currently doesn't handle xkeyboard events. For now, going to close this.
