Question ID3 embedded lyrics not read ??

Just curious as I travel lots and do not always be able to carry lyrics with me, I used KID3 to embed the lyrics myself as they can not be found online.
However I tried all the standard media/music players in Ubuntu (always running latest version, on sony vaio) but none seems to read the embedded Lyrics or is capable of showing them. (Audacious, Rythmbox etc) Now I am curious if there is a program that can play the songs as playlist, but also showing the embedded lyrics. Even if this would require 3d party plugin, if anybody knows a howto, I'd be more than grateful.

Sounds interesting, the only link I could find was this:

    Lyrics ID3 1.8-beta

    Read Lyrics from ID3
(T)his is a lyrics script for Amarok. In contrast to many other lyrics
scripts, it fetches the lyrics not from the Internet. It uses the
possibility to store lyrics in the ID3 tag of mp3 files (USLT frame). So
if there are lyrics stored in file and this script is running, Amarok
    will display the lyrics.

ID3v2 allows to store multiple lyrics in one file. They are separated by
different language codes and/or comments. In this case the script let
you choose between the different lyrics by a simple click.
but I confess I have not tested this...
You think that's air you're breathing now?
