Android simulator does not come up after installing ATI proprietory drivers

I am on lubuntu 12.10 AMD E.350 processor Sony VAIO VPCY. Recently moved to ATI prop driver due to screen freeze and HDMI issues.

Once I moved to proprietary driver, my android emulator does not come up. There is no error as such but it does not bring up the phone (emulator).

After trying for a while, I switched back to ATI opensource driver; it is working again.

Is there anything I need to do for Eclipse and AVD manager to work with fglrx ?

I am not happy with opensource ATI driver as it has lot of issues.

Sorry for the duplicate. Somehow Search/My threads was not showing latest update and I thought I lost it. Let me see how I can mark one of the threads as closed/solved...
