    Question Screen turning off

    Hello All!
When I plug in the charger to my Toshiba Satellite L750D, the screen goes dark and then turns off. I'm not sure why.

check your power settings. you may have some parameter misconfigured.

or maybe there's something wrong with your charger or input mains connector of your notebook.

    Re: Screen turning off

Ok I'm going to have to clarify a few things it seems.
    1. The charger/input of the laptop is not broken. It works fine on my Windows partition
    2. All power options relating to screen brightness in xfce4-powermanager are set to 100%
    3. None of those settings seem to be working, since the only way I can get my screen to full brightness is to plug then unplug the charger

I'm quite confused as to what may be causing this problem

    Re: Screen turning off

haha i know this might be silly, but ive had a few laptops do this. what the problem was for me, was incompatibility with some video drivers. even if my brightness was at 100%, the way i got it to come back was toggling back the brightness, and toggling it back to 100%. bang no more darkness, till it happens again.
