    DVD disc not supported ?

I recently burnt an ISO to a DVD disc, and although it seemed to have finished, it just kept hanging, so I had to abort it.

The disc is Verbatim 8 x DVD+R DL (Double Layer).

I have now tried in Brasero and K3B, to try to burn again to the disc (as I assume it is RW - re-rewriable), and the select box won't show the disc, even though it is mounted okay.

The DVD is an ASUS Model: DRW-2014S1T , and from DRW-2014S1T it has "DL", but I don't know if that means double layer or dual layer. Are they the same ?

The DVD player/writer is about 4 years old. Should I obtain a more up to date DVD device, or is there another app to use, besides Brasero and K3b ?

Or, .. maybe the disc is not re-writable ?

Re: DVD disc not supported ?

It looks like the disc is not re-writable, from Blank DVD R DL (Double Layer) Media - DVD+R DL, DVD-R DL - DVD R Dual Layer Discs - Printable | Verbatim ..

Can I record over video/audio/data stored on a DVD R DL disc?
No. DVD R DL discs are dual layer DVD’s designed for one-time recording.
