Are you referring to the Startup Disk Creator ?
No.
This appears to be a way to backup your hard drive by "cloning", either as a file that can be expanded and restored to your hard drive, or as a full exact copy. Similar to Windows 7 or Ghost.
But I can't find any info on it...

This looks good, but I don't see anything about backup or cloning.
I'm running the Gnome panel on Ubuntu here, so I thought maybe this might have some info...
