what's going on here? have you opened the Ubuntu Software Center? I have and as son as 5 seconds go by it logs me out of my desktop session but there is no bug to report here.....
Everything's fine over here. Besides a bit of a mess during this morning updates, specially with google-chrome-stable upgrade, done through TTY1, I'm not facing any problems with the software center. Didn't you manage to find out what is going wrong?

I still have the problem,I am running 13.10 with Gnome Session Fallback and every time I opened the Ubuntu Software Center it logs me out and closes up every app that it's running....I don't know
I also have the same problem as you, kuvanito. Want to file a bug on this?

Time for a coffee/tea break. Just installed Google-Chrome-Beta on 3 test pc's via the command line. I don't know whether the Software Center sees it or not, I don't care, I'm running on Saucy 32 & 64. Why Google-Chrome? Google Chrome came with my Acer C7 Chromebook and my nook HD+. Easier on me to deal with one set of quirks across all three types of linux.
Intel graphics here. I reported the crash that kills X at bug 1185150.

Also confirming on Unity.
Same thing is happening on Xubuntu.
BACKUPS are unsexy — until you discover you should have done one yesterday. Spare your nerves and do one before you upgrade or install.
Am I just lucky?! I'm running Saucy for a quite a while now, and since last Monday with 3.10.0-031000rc3-generic kernel and so far haven't experienced any kind of issues with Ubuntu Software Center.
