    Cleaner

I would like to use a good, safe, easy to use system cleaner.

Would be grateful for all suggestions.

    Regards

Not sure what exactly you are looking for, but BleachBit is a system cleaner:

You rarely need to use a system cleaner on a Linux system. I only do it when I want to free up disk space. Bleachbit is the best option though.

You could try the one in Ubuntu Tweak

    Re: Cleaner

+1 for using Bleachbit. It will clean out all of the .deb files stored by Update Manager, which is usually quite significant when run for the first time. It also goes through and cleans all of the temp folders for your browsers and such.

    Re: Cleaner

sudo apt-get clean will clean out any old .deb files from the cache. Other than that, there's not much that needs to be done to a functioning Ubuntu system.

Thanks one and all for the input, I used BB and everything still seems to work OK.

    Thanks again.
