    as my investigation shows, there is no problems with codecs but rather problem with adobe flash which not supported for linux anymore.
    However there is a wonderful option of "pop out" video which admits to show it via HTML5 means and everything becomes great.

    Adobe flash is still available for Linux; it will simply not be developed any more. Not all flash sites will work using the alternatives you talk of, so it is still necessary to use the flash plugin, in my opinion.

    Did you try moving the volume slider on the video?
    I know it shows as full but this seems to have been the 'fix' for no sound in the past.
