    Question how much videoram for opencl

    I currently have a 512Mb gpu, and it's running out of memory when processing photos in darktable, especially when exporting. Gimp is another program that would use opencl, so, I'm looking at upgrading the gpu. Question is, would 1024Mb be enough for most use cases? Thing is that I could get a significantly faster 1Gb card for about the same money as a 2Gb card.

    got a 1Gb card, darktable seems okay with it when editing and exporting 10Mpx images.
