Yellow noise on flash playback? (Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS)

Hi all

strange problem.. getting yellow noise all over youtube video playback :/ Seems to have just started (maybe related to the last update? nothing else has changed)



I've had the problem in the past but it seemed to fix itself (or maybe that was before updating to latest ubuntu.. not sure..)

Anyone seen similar?

There were some xorg updates for 12.04 yesterday or today; perhaps they are the cause of your problem.

However, I'm not sure what you can do about it if that is the case, as the previous xorg packages will presumably no longer be available in the repos.

I'll probably just keep updating and hope for the best.. sure its not long till the next LTS is out either..

You could also sign up to the html5 trial arrangement which will mean that YouTube no longer uses flash.

It seems to work well on my old machine.

Are you using Google Chrome? I had this exact problem and I switched to Firefox and have had no issues whatsoever.
