Question Customize right click on desktop menu

    Hi all,

I'm busy building an Ubuntu 12.04 image for deployment on several thousand desktops and due to various reasons, we've decided to go XFCE instead of Unity / gnome.

I've been working on locking down the operating system so that users have little control over the desktop.

I want to remove some items from the menu that appears when you right click on the desktop:

I basically want to remove everything except for create folder and the regular copy / cut / paste options.

I've tried the google machine but have had little success.

Has anyone else tried or achieved this?

    Thanks,
    Darknomel

Unfortunately, that menu is hard-coded - to change it you will have to edit and rebuild the code. See here: http://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=7327
